Design Engineer

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our Solar PV System Design & Engineering Department. This role is suitable for fresh graduates with an Electrical Engineering degree and strong academic results, as well as junior engineers with limited working experience.

You will be trained to design compliant, efficient and buildable solar PV systems under the guidance of senior engineers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Solar PV Design & Engineering

• Assist in preparing solar PV system designs, including:
  – Electrical schematics and single-line diagrams (SLDs)
  – Layout drawings and system configurations
• Support shading analysis, energy yield simulations and technical calculations
• Learn and apply design tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst and Helioscop

Technical Support & Coordination

• Support senior engineers in technical documentation and design reviews
• Assist in preparing Bills of Materials (BOM) and technical drawings
• Coordinate with project and site teams to support smooth project execution

Documentation & Compliance

• Assist in preparing documentation for authority submissions
• Ensure designs follow Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) and SEDA Malaysia requirements, as well as internal design standards

Learning & Continuous Improvement

• Continuously build technical knowledge in solar PV systems, codes and standards
• Participate in internal training, design reviews and technical discussions

REQUIREMENTS
Education

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Fresh graduates with excellent academic results are encouraged to apply

Technical & Soft Skills

• Basic understanding of electrical systems and power distribution
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or willingness to learn quickly
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Good command of English (spoken and written)
• Mandarin is an added advantage
